January 2014, an International Side walk Astronomy Night (ISAN), i.e. a public observation, was announced by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sidewalkastronomers.us\/index.html\">Sidewalk Astronomers<\/a>. John Dobson is known mainly for his invention of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dobsonian_telescope\">Dobsonian Telescope<\/a> and for being a co-founder of the aforementioned Sidewalk Astronomers. The latter set up their telescopes in a spot with many casual observers, who are invited to join the observation.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of amateur astronomers from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sternwarte-aachen.de\/\">Observatory in Aachen (Sternwarte Aachen)<\/a> took part in this event on 08.
